If on the other hand your idea is really worth something and you want to develop a serious plan to make money with Facebook then you might want to check out Bay Partners. This is a program supporting financially entrepreneurs developing applications for the Facebook platform. Of course there is a screening process as they cannot allocate money, time and know-how to any nut thinking he's found the holy grail, however if you feel you've got something going then you should give it a try.

Also, there exists the possibility of developing yourself applications for Facebook. That does require some skills, but can be highly profitable. I am not doing it myself so I don't know much about how exactly this is working but if you have some programming skills and some nice ideas then google "programming facebook applications" and find out for yourself. Moreover, there are employment opportunities for Facebook programmers out that don't require you have any ideas at all, but only programming skills - that's more of a programmer job so I won't dwell too much on it but it's still a way to make money through Facebook. If you develop the application yourself then you can name the price for it and the sky will be your limit - that's why I see this direction as potentially more interesting.
