Hello again, we are still in the topic of "How to Use Facebook to Promote your Business", and that is by using Facebook Pages. Remember again, I recommend using using Facebook Pages because you would earn yourself a high Google ranking. Currently Facebook itself has an Alexa ranking of 7.

If you follow the steps on that post, you may already have your Facebook Page all set up and ready to go. The question now is, what should I do now?

These are some must-do's:

1) Fill in ALL RELEVANT DETAILS: Describe your company well at the Info section and also upload a profile picture because this is the first thing people are going to read!

2) Use Default Facebook Applications like:

• Notes: Import your feeds from your blogs here.
  
• Photos/Videos: Post up interesting and relevant materials for your viewers to see. Include links to your site as captions.
• Posted Items: Share links of relevant and useful resources, or link up to your other websites or partners here.
• Events: Invite your fans to your company's launches, promos, teasers, etc and they can invite their friends to come along too!
• Discussion Board: The key to using Facebook is engagement. Make sure you keep your fans involved with your business. Encourage discussions, debates, suggestions and engage your fans!
  

3) Create Buzz on your Facebook Page!

• Exclusive "Facebook Page" only content: Create stuff that your fans can ONLY get from your Facebook Page to keep them coming!
• Organize contests: Invite them to upload videos, photos, content and others and win prizes each week/month.

How to Use Facebook to Promote Your Business

Welcome back, from the previous post "Make Money with Facebook", I have already explained to you the basic elements of Facebook that you may use for your business. This includes your own personal Facebook page, the Marketplace and Applications. Today, we will go on with another very valuable tool provided by Facebook, which is FACEBOOK PAGES.

Bear in mind that your PERSONAL FACEBOOK PROFILE is for individuals only, therefore, you must use your real name and NOT open an account with your business' name without risking getting banned. Therefore, it can be said that Facebook Profiles are for "People" and Facebook Pages are for "Businesses".

Why do I say Facebook Pages are a worth so much? The reason is, not only will you be able to generate traffic to your business website, but Facebook pages are also indexed and searcheable inside and outside Facebook. Yes, that means that your Facebook business' page would be searcheable on search engines.

Also, I don't have to tell you about the power of Facebook's social and viral marketing abilities. That said, your business' Facebook Page may have (instead of "Friends"), a group of followings called "FANS" and you may have unlimited number of Fans. How cool is that to know that " 'Your Company' has 5000+ Fans", what an ego boost!


So first things first, how do you develop your own Facebook Page? Below is the step by step guide:

1) On your Facebook homepage, scroll to the BOTTOM RIGHT of the page and look for "ADVERTISING", and then click at "FACEBOOK PAGES" at the top.

2) Click on the "CREATE A PAGE" button on the right and fill in you business' details (category, name) and enter "Create Page". Be careful about choosing a name or keyword as the title in "Name" because this cannot be changed later on.

3) You are done! So have now created your own company's Facebook Page, which is still empty of course. You may fill in information, upload photos and videos, create events and more here.

Another positive thing about Facebook Pages is that you may create multiple Pages, perfect if your business has various products, brands or ventures. Besides, each and every page will also be indexed by Google and be useful for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purposes!
